On 6 December Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (CDTO) Mr. Dmytro Senik and the Ukrainian Business Mission started their visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The visit of the business mission to Oman is supported by the Council of Exporters and Investors at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. It included representatives of the agricultural, light and food industries.
During the meeting with the high-officials of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman Dmytro Senik presented the economic potential of Ukraine, in particular in the field of agriculture, information technology, light and food industries.
The Deputy Minister described in detail the practical instruments of state support of investments, in particular, the Law of Ukraine "On State Support of Investment Projects with Significant Investments in Ukraine."
The Ukrainian diplomat invited the Omani business to invest in the Ukrainian economy.
Representatives of Ukrainian business presented their own products, available industrial facilities, and submitted to Omani companies commercial offers letting them start cooperation.
During the visit, Mr. Dmytro Senik also held a separate meeting with the Chairman of the CCI of Oman, Mr. Redha bin Juma Al-Saleh, the key topic of their discussions was the increase in trade and investment.
The Deputy Minister also met with the Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones of the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Ali Masoud Al-Sunaidi, and his Deputy, Eng. Ahmad Hassan Ad-Dib. The parties discussed steps to intensify economic cooperation between Ukraine and Oman.
