Important announcement about Ukrainian documents expired after 24.02.2022

To the attention of citizens of Ukraine and holders of temporary or permanent residence permits in Ukraine.
On October 21, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 1202 "Some issues of implementation of legislative acts in the field of migration under martial law", which provides the possibility of entry and legal stay in Ukraine for foreigners and stateless persons, except for citizens of the russian federation, on the basis of a temporary or permanent residence permit, the validity period of which has expired, or which are subject to exchange after February 24, 2022.
This provision will be in effect during martial law and within 30 days after its termination or cancellation.
In addition, the resolution established that for the period of martial law, passports of citizens of Ukraine in the form of a card, the terms of validity of which expired during the war, and passports of citizens of Ukraine of the 1994 model, which do not have photo cards pasted upon reaching the age of 25 or 45 (if the deadline for pasting the photo card has come during the period of martial law), are documents certifying identity and confirming Ukrainian citizenship.
Also, the above-mentioned documents will be subject to mandatory exchange within 30 days from the moment of termination or cancellation of martial law in Ukraine.
Please, be informed, that all the procedures, related to issuing, cancelling, exchanging of temporary or permanent residence permit could be done only in The State Migration Service of Ukraine and it branches. None of these actions cannot be done at Embassies or Consular entities of Ukraine abroad.
