Trade turnover between Ukraine and the Republic of Yemen in 2025 amounted to USD 208,420 thousand, which is almost three times higher than in 2024. Ukrainian exports accounted for USD 208,417 thousand, while imports amounted to USD 3 thousand. The positive balance for Ukraine was USD 208,414 thousand.

Ukrainian exports consisted of the following items: wheat – USD 182,946 thousand (87.8% of total exports), maize (corn) – USD 13,560 thousand (6.5%), sugar confectionery products without cocoa content – USD 5,534 thousand (2.65%), bakery products, rice paper – USD 3,638 thousand (1.7%), chocolate – USD 2,101 thousand (1%), catgut, reagents, contrast agents, contraceptives, and dental materials – USD 338 thousand, medicinal products in measured doses or packaged for retail sale – USD 132 thousand, poultry meat and edible offal – USD 123 thousand, and other goods.

The bulk of Yemeni imports to Ukraine was formed by coffee; coffee shells; coffee substitutes – USD 3 thousand.

Promising areas for cooperation include support for Yemen’s food security, military-technical cooperation, and the development of transport, construction, port infrastructure, and educational services. Ukraine is also ready to contribute to these areas as part of Yemen’s post-war reconstruction, subject to the stabilization of the internal political and security situation in Yemen.
