During May 15-21, an official delegation of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented at the level of the members of the inter-parliamentary group of friendship, paid a visit to Ukraine.

Among other things, the delegates held a series of meetings in the Verkhovna Rada (the Supreme Council) of Ukraine, including with the First Deputy Chairman I.Gerashenko and the Head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs H.Hopko.

The expansion of existing and the search for new forms of development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in particular, with the support of the legislative bodies of both countries, were at the core of negotiations.
