During his official visit to Saudi Arabia, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud in Jeddah.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the continued dialogue and the invitation to visit Saudi Arabia, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy recognized Saudi Arabia's efforts in seeking ways to achieve a just and lasting peace, particularly in organizing a meeting between Ukrainian and U.S. delegations set to take place on March 11 in Jeddah. The President emphasized that Ukraine seeks to achieve peace as soon as possible and is committed to constructive dialogue.
During the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud discussed Saudi Arabia’s potential role as a mediator in the release of military and civilian prisoners and the return of deported children, as well as prospects for strengthening cooperation in this area.
The leaders exchanged views on the formats of security guarantees and what they should entail for Ukraine to prevent the recurrence of war. Global and regional security challenges were another topic of the negotiations.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about Ukraine’s plans to further expand its own defense production to strengthen the country, as well as potential joint projects in this sector.
Additionally, Ukraine is interested in enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, and energy sectors, as well as in Saudi Arabia’s investments and its participation in our country’s reconstruction. The Crown Prince confirmed Saudi Arabia’s intentions to invest in Ukraine and its future.

At the Conclusion of the Visit of His Excellency President of Ukraine, Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Within the framework of distinguished relations and close cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Ukraine, His Excellency President of Ukraine, Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 10 Ramadan 1446 AH corresponding to March 10, 2025 AD.
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received His Excellency President of Ukraine, Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. They held an official discussion session, during which they reviewed the aspects of the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries, and expressed their desire to enhance them in all fields.
His Excellency President of Ukraine, Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of Riyadh winning the bid to host the World Expo 2030, and the Kingdom winning the bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2034.
The two sides commended the strong economic ties between the two friendly countries. They noted the importance of joint action to develop the volume of trade exchange, which reached a growth rate of (9%) in 2024. They also agreed on the need to overcome the challenges facing the development of trade relations, the importance of intensifying official visits and mutual trade and investment delegations, encouraging the establishment of joint projects, and exploring available opportunities in the two countries, including the projects of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and the Ukraine's reconstruction programs. The two sides welcomed the upcoming reestablishment of the (Saudi-Ukrainian Joint Business Council) during the current year 2025.
Moreover, the two sides affirmed their determination to enhance investment relations by creating promising investment and economic partnerships in priority sectors for both countries, including energy sector, food industries, and infrastructure. They welcomed the continuous communication between the public and private sectors in the two countries through workshops, exchanging visits, holding joint investment forums and events, empowering private sector, creating an appropriate environment for investment, and addressing any challenges facing investors.
The two sides expressed their aspiration to discuss joint cooperation opportunities in the fields of oil, gas, their derivatives, and petrochemicals.
The two sides welcomed the expansion of private sector involvement in the two countries through investment partnerships in the agricultural sector and the food industries, and agreed on the importance of enhancing cooperation between them in the fields of agriculture and food security.
The two sides discussed the latest developments of issues of common interest, and exchanged views on regional and international issues of concern to the two countries, and stressed their determination to enhance cooperation and joint coordination regarding them.
The two sides reviewed the efforts to achieve comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine. The Saudi side expressed its hope that these efforts will be successful in ending the war in line with the international law and the UN Charter, including respect to the principles of sovereignty, internationally recognized borders, in a way that leads to ending its negative repercussions on international security and stability, stopping the human suffering of civilians, achieving nuclear and food security, environmental protection, and demining of territories. The Ukrainian side expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by the Kingdom in this regard, and expressed its gratitude for the humanitarian and development aid provided by the Kingdom to Ukraine.
At the conclusion of the visit, His excellency President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Expressed His gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the warm reception and generous hospitality extended to Him and His accompanying delegation, and His best wishes to the friendly Saudi people for further progress and prosperity. His Royal Highness also conveyed His best wishes for good health and well-being to His Excellency president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and for continued progress and prosperity to the friendly Ukrainian people.
