On February 26, 2023, Riyadh hosted a pre-premiere screening of the Ukrainian animated film "Mavka. Forest Song" (Animagrad Studio, FILM.UA Group), attended by citizens of Ukraine, foreign diplomatic missions, Saudi officials and representatives of leading local mass media. The event was supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the KSA.

The full-length film, which is the first Ukrainian release in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, attracted much attention from Saudi and foreign audiences, gaining a lively and sincere interest to Ukrainian culture and its identity.

Despite the ongoing full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the circumstances and obstacles arising from the enemy's armed aggression, the national FILM.UA Group team managed to complete the work on the creation of the animated film, as previously planned, by the end of 2022.

At the beginning of spring, foreign spectators will enjoy watching a unique product of Ukrainian modern culture.

The large-scale international release of "Mavka" starts on March 1, 2023. The rights to cinema and digital showings of the film have been acquired by distribution companies in more than 40 countries, and their list is constantly being updated. The film makers will officially announce the release dates in each country on social networks (@mavka.movie) and on the project website (www.mavka.ua).

The animated film was created with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Ukraine). Cinema distribution is carried out by FILM.UA Distribution and Kinomania Film Distribution. The general media partner of the project is channel 1+1.
