On 18 September 2022, Ambassador of Ukraine to Saudi Arabia A.Petrenko met at the EU Representation with the heads of diplomatic missions of the European Union in Saudi Arabia.  

During the meeting, the Ukrainian diplomat briefed European colleagues on the current security situation in Ukraine, including details of recent counteroffensive operations in the Kharkiv and Kherson regions. The Ambassador of Ukraine outlined the priorities and goals of the diplomatic mission in the host country, proposed joint actions for the development of Ukrainian-Saudi relations, and assured of the inevitability of the European integration process of Ukraine. The head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission expressed gratitude to the representatives of the EU countries for the steadfast political and security support of Ukraine in the restoration of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.  

European diplomats congratulated the Ukrainian representative on the start of the diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia, emphasized solidarity with the people of Ukraine and emphasized the continued support of our state in repelling the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, restoring territorial integrity and protecting the sovereignty of Ukraine.
